- Do a picture walk. Make a prediction using your prior knowledge.
- Ask yourself the 5W's + H (Who, What, Why, Where, When & How)
- Pay attention to the beginning, middle, and end. Predict what will happen next after the author makes another choice.
- How could the story have been different had the author made different choices?
